All's Well that Ends Well ~

I brought home the world-traveler last night. She is a different person. She radiates! She is exceptionally happy. She says she learned SO much about herself while she was gone.

She also has a new love interest—a boy who brought her food when she was trying to live in the bushes one time when she ran away. He came to visit her almost every night she was there. (of course, she had to have a translator.....) She is all starry-eyed! I'll try to get her to write her own blog and post some pictures.

House is still "contingently" sold.

What's NEW wit chew?

Well, I was going to wait at least a week before doing another update, but here it's Thursday, and I've already got STUFF to write about. And pictures. So here goes:

1. I took Jenny and her boys to the Children's Museum yesterday. It was fun. It's at the Gateway, kind of expensive for what they have to offer, but I think the boys had a good time.

First they all took a ride in AirMed. They flew the helicopter!

then Clayton and Orson had a turn reporting the news.

They were really good at rock-climbing!

Preston preferred working in the water.

2. I got a call from Pixie, who is in Russia with Natasha. Pixie told me that they told Natasha that her mother and brother were burned to death in a house fire, and that she never had an older sister. I don't know how Natasha feels about that, but I'll see when she gets home.

3. I told my realtors to take my house off the market. They told me that I would have to sign papers to enable me to do this. They were reluctant to bring over the papers (it seemed to me). And almost every day after that (Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, someone came to look at the house. Today the realtor called to me to tell me that I have received an offer on the house. I asked 569, they offered 550, I countered with 559.9. We'll see. Right now, they are committed to close on October 8. It is contingent, however, on them selling their house. But they think they can do it by then. If not, then the sale is off.

Go figure!

Another update!

Okay, so Kip says I need to blog occasionally, as does Chad. I told Kip I don't do anything worth writing about. He told me I should start doing that—something worth writing about. So I'm taking that under advisement. I'll let you know if I do anything worth writing about.

So here's today's update:
• Natasha went to Russia on Friday. She met up successfully with Pixie in New York. I haven't heard from them since, and I don't suppose I will, as it is difficult to write or call from there. She will be home on Saturday night. She is looking for her family (mother, sister and brother).
• I read New Moon and Harry Potter 7 this week. I bought a new one by Greg Bear (as per Kip's recommendation)—Greg's new one Quantico (it was 50% off). I am reading that until Eclipse comes out (I should get it tomorrow).
• I am taking my house off the market. As soon as my realtors get around to having me sign the papers, I will get the sign out of my yard. I will probably wait until next Spring to try it again. The market is flooded with houses in the price range of this house, so the likelihood of it selling is low. Spring is all right with me.
• Pixie said I should write to Brad Pitt to ask for money for my Russian project. I am thinking of writing to Oprah AND Brad. Why not? THAT would be something to write about......
